We like this style of blinds for patio doors, regular doors openings, closets and other opening were a vertical curtain would be more appropriate. Though this style of curtain is very common in Europe and the Far East, its relatively unknown in the U.S.

This style is our preferred choice for any type of door openings. These vertical blinds are from the Thailand collection and are available in 5 styles. (Thailand Collection). The pictures below shown the Singapore Blade style.
