We decided to dedicated a separate page for these folks. (as per our lawyers ). We have to carefully word what we are trying to convey to you or more than likely we would get sued by the above folks! (not kidding).

Smith & Noble and BlindsGalore  do not necessarily make all their blinds. They purchase them from other woven wood/bamboo blinds manufacturers, In essence they are very large retailers of bamboo/woven wood blinds from many different sources.

We carry identical or equivalent bamboo blinds styles, sold by either Smith&Noble or Blindsgalore and in most cases we will supply identical blinds from the same manufacturer. We urge you to compare our product with their by visiting their websites directly. (yup! don't take our word for it)

"Comparable Blinds"
We again have to careful on how we word these next statements. (So bear with us while we muddle thru this, our competitors lawyers are so fussy.......). Almost all woven wood/bamboo blinds fabricators buy the raw blind material known as "Mat" from the same manufacturers. (The mat is the blind itself minus the hardware and raising mechanism). 90% of the mats' are purchased from China/Taiwan. We carry other blinds from S.Africa, India, Thailand that does not fall into this category.

For instance, you can buy the same blind from Prestige at 1/2 the price when compared to Levelor. The "Mat" is the same but the external hardware will be different. And do you care about this? 

This is our opinion (drum roll.......not recommendation.....S&N Lawyers ), If the "Mat" is the same and the warranty is the same, then there should be not be a major difference. All our blinds carry the same transferable lifetime warranty and the hardware has been streamlined and proven over the years.  Its like comparing a Toyota to a Mercedes, many different arguments, price quality, workmanship, reliability etc....but at the end you are paying for your your individual layer of comfort.
Finally we have finished tiptoeing around the eggs!

Home Depot and Lowes carry Levelor, Hunter Douglas and M&B woven wood lines. These styles can be quite expensive, we have however low cost alternatives available. (same product, different manufacturer).

Sales Pitches

While we were surfing on the net, we came across a very very interesting site. Its appears to be written by a former window covering company executive. He/She details out the teasers, sales pitches that the window covering industry uses to attract customer on the net. (we stand accused as well!)

BUT there is a lot of truth to a majority of his/her statements. Though we do not agree with all his/her statements, there is loads of information that useful. We strongly believe that the customer should know all the information that can help in their purchase. We recently received permission to link directly to his/her site.
