   This part of the web was written by our solicitors. It like going to the dentist to get your teeth cleaned, you dread everytime you have to do it but every 6 months you do it anyway. Well its your lucky day, its your 6 month appointment: have fun reading.!! Don't worry, we had to read it three times before it sank in. We actually had to write this in "legal" Times Roman Font!

Transferable Lifetime Warranty
All of our bamboo/wood natural windows treatments are covered by a Transferable Lifetime Warranty. These warranties cover any defects in materials or workmanship so long as the product is measured and installed according to the product instructions.

All Callaloo Company products are covered by a Transferable Lifetime Warranty. This warranty protects your windows treatments against defects in materials and workmanship for the entire time the product is owned by the original buyer/new purchaser and as long as the product remains in the original window, PROVIDED THAT (I) such products were properly installed in residential dwellings; (II) such products were made or assembled exclusively from Callaloo Company materials and components; and (III) Callaloo Company recommendations were followed with regard to limitations and specifications.

The operating mechanisms of the blinds are warranted for as long as the customer owns them. Slat material is also warranted to be free from defects. We do not warranty problems caused by improper installation, misuse or customer abuse. Normal wear and tear is not covered under warranty.

Some slight warpage, as well as natural variations in color and grain effect, are normal with a wood/bamboo product and are not considered defects. In addition, some fading and/or discoloration of the finish may occur over time. This is common with man-made coatings and is not considered a defect.

The obligation of The Callaloo Company and its licensed fabricators and distributors is limited to repair or replacement of the blinds or components found to be defective and excludes shipping charges and labor costs for measuring and installation. Repairs will be made with like or similar parts.

This warranty does not cover any losses or damages resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, motorized devices, or failure to follow our instructions with respect to measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance. This warranty also does not cover loss of color intensity due to long exposure to sun, normal loss of color intensity over a period of time, exposure to salt air, continuous exposure to environmental elements in exterior installations, any loss or damage resulting from removal of the blind and reinstallation in the same or another window. Fabric/grass or any combination blinds are susceptible to temporary creases/fold lines, this is the nature of soft natural material. Cord wear is considered normal wear and tear.

Also not warranted is variation in color, grain and texture in natural wood products and excessive warping of wood/bamboo slats in high humidity areas. Wood, and fabric may vary among lots and may not exactly match sample swatches or previous purchases.
Even though we maintain a rigid quality control on our vendors, we cannot guarantee exact color matches. These variations are natural and sometimes are visible in shades with light color stains.
When dealing with natural products, variations will occur and this is considered acceptable. Over time, the color of jute patterns will soften in the sun to a mild golden tone. Finishing edges pf the bamboo and wicker reeds may crack after cutting and assembly due to the inherent property of the material.

In addition, warranty does not apply to Outdoor Reed Blinds due the the susceptibility  to breakage in the read and/or wire.  This is due to the fragility of the reed strands and their continuous exposure to the elements.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS, LIABILITIES, OR WARRANTIES. In no event shall The Callaloo Company or its licensed fabricators or distributors be liable or responsible for INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES or for any other direct or indirect damage, loss, cost, expense or fee. In addition, in no event will the Callaloo Company be liable for transportation costs to return the blind, cost of removal or reinstallation of the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Addendum:

Due to many variances we cannot guarantee that the colors displayed on the picture gallery pages will match exactly to the actual color of the blind. There are many variables which can change the color you see as you view our site. Computer monitors display up to millions of colors and the human eye can only decipher a very small fraction of those colors. And with that small fraction, we all see them differently.

Although we do our best to make sure that the colors printed on our web site are accurate, actual colors will vary.  In addition, subtle color differences and textures may not be fully appreciated on some systems due to differences in monitors and/or display cards. Due to the fact that our products are all custom made, and can't be returned, you need to be sure that you can live with any color variations that are possible from our scanning of the actual samples. If in doubt, then please request a sample before placing your order. Once you receive your sample, keep in mind that all samples may still have minimal color variations as stated by the manufacturers.
